Halloween Canned Food Drive

The Halloween Canned Food Drive (HCFD) is an opportunity for student organizations within UT to get involved in the Austin community during October. In this friendly competition, engineering organizations can compete against each other to collect the most donations/cans as possible.

All donations benefit the Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB) to support local families struggling to make ends meet in one of the fastest growing regions in the US. Donations are made physically with cans and also electronically through a “Virtual Drive.” According to CTFB, every dollar donated through the virtual drive equates to 4 meals for our neighbors in need.

Bingo Board Challenge

Alongside the virtual drive, this is an additional way to fundraise for HCFD through your member organization through social media. Members can participate by posting on social media and having their followers donate through Venmo. For every column complete, the member may choose to do a dare and post a video/picture to share with their followers. Use the following template, and fill in your personal venmo handle or the virtual drive link. Review the Bingo Board Instructions Doc for important rules and regulations!
