Designed to meet the accreditation standards set forth by the Commission Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), our nursing residency is a 12-month program supporting graduate nurses as they transition into their first professional nursing role. The JPS Nurse Residency Program combines learning and work experiences that develop the real clinical and leadership skills necessary to become a part of our leading healthcare team, with opportunities that include:
- Monthly case study discussions with JPS clinical pharmacists
- Hands-on experiential learning with JPS content experts
- Ethics symposia conducted by the JPS chaplain
- EKG and ACLS certification courses
- NIH stroke certification
- Evidenced-based practice projects
- Review of research articles
- Resident patient outcome case study presentations
- Cohort networking and social support
