It is vital to the success of all staff hired into the Nurse Residency Program to be available for the 1st eight weeks and the unit specified orientation. Do you offer shift and weekend differentials in the Nurse Residency program? Yes. Differentials are offered for evening, night, and weekends. Base pay varies according to the Nurse Residents matched home unit. After being placed on a specific unit, what shift will I work? Newly hired nurses are scheduled based on the staffing needs of the unit. In general, we expect nurses to be available for all shifts. Will I be able to attend school during the Nurse Residency Program? Due to the NRP requirements, we do not recommend attending school during your first year.
