This Primary Care Nurse  position is located at 8203 U.S. Highway 183, Austin 78747. Actual schedule will fluctuate depending on clinic needs to include some evening hours and on occasion, many include one Saturday shift per month.
Responsibilities
- Provides professional nursing knowledge and skills in the care and treatment of patients.
- Responsible for the general welfare of patients by planning, directing and assisting in the professional nursing of all patients.
- Gives medications as ordered by a health care provider.
- Collaborates with the Clinic Director and participates in the administration of nursing services by directing, supervising and assisting the nonprofessional staff in providing patient care.
- Supports the Public Health Nurse with immunizations and other programs and services as needed.
- Other related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing. Certificate of graduation from an approved School of Nursing. Licensed by the State of Texas to practice Professional Nursing. At least one-year experience as a licensed registered nurse. Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills. Bilingual with conversation Spanish. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
More than one year of experience as a licensed registered nurse. Experience with indigent care in a primary care setting.
Salary Range
$57,600 – $62,400

Work Shift
- 40 hours per week, most likely M-F with specific hours TBD. Could include one late evening.
