PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER

Where: MHMR Authority of Brazos Valley

Salary: $110,334 to $120,565 Annually (Salary is based on education & experience)

Job Description: We are a community mental health center located in the family friendly Brazos Valley. Our mission promotes recovery and independence for the seriously mentally ill.  This position is outpatient, with generous benefits. Our agency is present in both Brazos County and in the surrounding rural counties. Our approach to patient care is team based and collaborative. This position primarily serves the adult population.  There are opportunities for ongoing growth within this position, including experience in treating substance use disorders, child & adolescent mental health, and forensic experience. The agency provides a delegating psychiatrist with 20 years of experience and who has worked with PMHNP’s of all levels of experience. Primary duties include conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, collaborating with the adult team regarding treatment plans, ongoing continuity clinic, and providing hospital follow up.  There are no on-call duties.
Experience: Required:  Experience as Nurse Practitioner working with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness helpful.
Hours of Work: Monday through Friday 8am—5pm.
Licenses/Certifications: Certification as a PMHNP
Facility: Med Clinic 804, Bryan TX.
