Dr. Chanhyun Park serves as an Assistant Professor in the Health Outcomes Division. She earned her Pharmacy degree in South Korea and later pursued her Ph.D. in Health Outcomes Research from The University of Texas at Austin (UT) College of Pharmacy. After completing her doctorate, Dr. Park worked as a Health Economist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She then held a faculty position at Northeastern University School of Pharmacy before returning to the UT College of Pharmacy faculty.
Dr. Park’s research focuses on evaluating the health outcomes of medications using quantitative methods. Her research approach encompasses pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, and machine learning. Through this lens, she aims to assess treatment patterns, predict potential treatment-related adverse events, and evaluate healthcare utilization and expenses. Currently, her primary research emphasis is on cardio-oncology.
