This summer at the American Alliance for Theatre and Education (AATE) annual conference held in New York City, current students and a recent alumnus of the Drama and Theatre for Youth and Communities program in the Department of Theatre and Dance were honored. Moriah Flagler (2018) received the Honorable Thesis award for her thesis titled Storied Moments: Foregrounding Community Cultural Wealth through Digital Storytelling. Willam Kiley, currently seeking his Theatre Education Certification,  was honored with the Don and Elizabeth Doyle special recognition award and Faith A. Hillis received the esteemed Winifred Ward Scholar award. All three honorees were honored at the AATE awards ceremony at the Roundabout Theatre Company in August.
