CARE (Counselors in Academic Residence) is a program of the Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC) that places a counselor onsite in colleges across the university to help make it easier for students to get support. CARE counselors also provide information and consultations to faculty and staff. CARE services are confidential.
Niki Luibrand, LCSW, is the CARE counselor who supports students in the College of Fine arts.
Niki Luibrand (pronouns: she/her) provides clinical services in the College of Fine Arts and the Steve Hicks School of Social Work. Niki is available to provide consultation to staff as well as outreach and prevention services.
Niki brings a relational approach to her work with students with the goal of helping them navigate life challenges and connect to their own internal and external resources. Her areas of professional interest include mindfulness, healing from trauma and grief, healthy boundaries, depression, anxiety and identity concerns. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Walk-in office hours are from 1pm to 2pm on Mondays in DFA 1.204B.
