Safety Moment Monday: 9/27/21

As chemists, we know that the chemical properties of nanoparticles and other nanomaterials can be significantly different than those of bulk materials. Please take safety seriously around nanomaterials!

An image containing the title Nanomaterials and an image of a nanostructured surface. The text reads "A safe material may be a toxic nanomaterial. Nanomaterials can be inhaled, ingested, and absorbed through skin. All nanomaterials should be considred hazardous unless that nanomaterial is specifically known to be harmless. There are currently no national safety standards for nanomaterials."
