The Institute for Collaborative Health Research and Practice participates in research projects relating to pediatric, adolescent, young adult, and adult chronic and life-limiting illnesses. Our studies investigate the impact of illness on both the individual with the health concern, as well as their loved ones. Members of the Institute develop original studies and also partner with local and national health experts and community-based research initiatives. Additionally, we study the impact of interprofessional education on professional identity development and practice behaviors of students in social work, medicine, nursing and pharmacy.
