Kat Motovilov is a Neuroscience PhD program student in the lab. She received her B.S. in Bioengineering with a minor in Computational Neural Engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle. In the Melamed Lab, her work focuses on evaluating the interplay between environmental factors and autoimmunity. Currently, her projects focus on the effects of alcohol and heat stress in mouse models of neurological autoimmune disease. She is also passionate about making science discoveries more accessible for the general public.
