At the Action Lab, we study how children learn to move, think, and explore the world around them. Led by Dr. Jeffrey Lockman, our team looks at how everyday actions such as reaching, banging, and writing help children understand objects and develop new skills. By watching how babies and young children use their hands and eyes to explore, we learn how early experiences with movement build the foundation for curiosity, problem solving, and learning as they grow.

Check out this video from the American Psychological Association about Dr. Lockman and his research!

We are currently running studies for babies as young as 6-months to 6-years of age! Click here to learn more about our current studies!
