Motion Capture

Our lab employs a Qualisys Motion Capture System equipped with ten high-speed cameras and three video cameras to investigate children’s manual movements in various task contexts (e.g., object manipulation, tool use). By tracking reflective markers, we obtain precise kinematic data that allow us to examine the development of fine motor control and eye-hand coordination. The video cameras complement the motion capture data by providing a more comprehensive view of children’s overall movements.
