Yinan Wang successfully defends!!

Congratulations to Yinan Wang on his successful thesis defense today, entitled “Novel Device Structures and Architectures for High-Speed Mid-Infrared Detection”.  Yinan will be joining Ruochen Lu’s group and working on RF MEMs/NEMs devices.

Barium Titanate modulator paper published in ACS Photonics!

Our paper “Monolithic Barium Titanate Modulators on Silicon-on-Insulator Substrates” was published in ACS Photonics.  This was a collaboration with the Demkov group (in the UT Austin Physics department) led by PhD student Zuoming Dong.  Zuoming showed efficient modulation of infrared light using monolithic barium titanate Mach Zehnder interferometers, opening the… read more
