To allow all pharmacists and pharmacy technicians access to PPS – either in-person, via online broadcast, or on-demand – we are introducing Employer-Sponsored Group Registrations (formerly referred to as “institutional registrations”).
When you sign up for your full team, everyone will receive a discount on registrations.
Full pharmacy staff will pay a bulk rate determined by the number of team members they are looking to purchase registrations for. You’ll need to contact us so we can work with your team and determine your pricing. (See How to register a pharmacy below for more information.)
Why are we offering this?
When a full team attends or views the same PPS content, we believe there are at least five major benefits to the team.
Clinical Updates – Every team member receives clinical updates, rather than one attendee returning to the team to share the information with other colleagues.
Reduction in Errors – Given the shared training, information and improved communication provided by PPS, errors on the team should be reduced, making for smoother operations.
Communication – When all team members engage with the same content, it provides a reference point for staff discussions on a particular topic, patient issue or decision. Most importantly, all members have the same information and are on the same page.
Free for Pharmacy Technicians – Also known as the backbone of the operation, pharmacy technicians would have viewed the same information as pharmacists, allowing them to have a better understanding of the process, less confusion, and knowledge for catching errors. Technicians also benefit from having the same reference points for staff discussions. Pharmacy Technicians are FREE with institutional registrations.*
Team building – The team shares the same experience, training and reference points, allowing for improved communication, which has been proven to help build team rapport.
With these points, we believe that this is the future of Continuing Pharmacy Education and that there is potential for publication. Get your full team registered, choose a few sessions all team members would take, and we can conduct a post-survey to see how and if the content shows up in practice. Depending on the results, there can be greater potential in these registrations.
* Pharmacy Technicians may attend for free, yet numbers are limited to the standard ratio of 1:6 pharmacists to technicians.
