EMERGING TECH TALK: From PhD to Startup

Dr. Chris Idelson recently graduated from UT Austin with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and went on to found a startup company with his PhD advisor. The company Clearcam creates a device that makes it easier for surgeons to visualize the abdomen with a camera during a laporoscopic procedure.

Topics of this talk will include:

-IP: Developing, timing, Coverage, Strategies

-Fundraising: structure & valuation, relationships and transparency

-Market Analysis and financial Projections

-Exit Strategy
