Undergraduate Panel

This is a chance for GEC to give back to UT by giving undergraduate students advices on graduate school decisions and application processes. The discussion can range from graduate schools vs. careers in industries and preparing for the GRE to writing the statement of purpose and asking professors for letters of recommendation. We have all been through this process one way or another. Now it’s time for us to provide some insights to these future graduates.

Next panel date: Thursday, March 7, 2019.

Time: 5-6 PM

Location: ETC 3.108

Topic: PhD Recruitment Weekend

Pizzas will be provided. Contact Philip White (philip.white@utexas.edu) if interested in being in the panel.

Girl Day & Explore UT

Girl Day and Explore UT are volunteering opportunities for graduate students to educate and empower younger generation of students on STEM fields. This year, GEC did an interactive and edible activity involving 3-D printing frosting onto cookies. See photos from Girl Day 2019 here. See photos from Explore UT here.
