Mindfulness Events

The midmester mindfulness event was organized by Danielle Escalante on March 28, 2019. The event was come-and-go with puzzles, coloring books, games, cookies, and coffee. We even had Jeni Wade came talk to us about different resources on campus to help with your mental health. Here are some photos and the ads for the event.

Midmester Mindfulness Event

Thursday, March 28

9 AM – 3 PM

Drop by anytime at your convenience

Need a place to take your mind off of classes and research? Have any questions on the resources available to you on or off campus? Want to take a break with some crafts or meditation time? Do you like free food and coffee??

Come join us for some mindfulness activities, info, and treats! Stay the entire time or come and go as you wish!

March 28th Schedule:
Enjoy some free cookies and coffee! We will have activity materials for you to enjoy, such as coloring pages, origami, zentangles, and puzzles. You may also bring your own games and food, if you’d like to have a place to hang out and eat.
From 12PM – 1PM, we will have our Cockrell School of Engineering CARE Counselor, Jeni Wade, LCSW! She will spend the first half hour answering any questions you may have about mental health resources on and/or off campus. And the last half hour, she will lead us with a guided meditation.
From 3PM – 4PM, enjoy some yoga and meditations led by the University Yoga Club! The area for this activity will be announced closer to the date.
