Lunch and Learn: Financial Planning 2019

Parcipants of our first Lunch and Learn talk about financial planning with Dr. William O’Brien was successful! The event was held on Thurday, February 28, 2019, at 12:30 – 2PM at ECJ 3.406. Thanks Vineeth Dharmapalan for organizing this event!

Grab some FREE Jimmy Johns and listen to Dr. O’Brien’s talk about financial planning for the future.

Your education is an investment in your future. As you plan your next steps, how will you execute that future in terms of investing for the long-term? Now is the time to get educated about the basics of such planning and the mechanics of doing it. This talk will focus in particular on understanding the structure of the US savings and retirement system, assessing and planning for the future needs to translate earning power into lasting wealth.

Dr. William O’Brien is the Associate Chair of Architectural Engineering in the Dept. of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering. He is a Professor in CAEE and teaches engineering economics and project finance courses is a Boglehead, and finance nerd. He hopes for a vigorous discussion on this topic.
