How has HCMP helped you grow?
HCMP gave me the opportunity to shadow various physicians and view healthcare from multiple perspectives. All of the doctors I shadowed were open about the field they worked in and gave me plenty of advice that will prove to be beneficial in the application process and eventually my career!
Favorite HCMP memory?
My favorite memory was witnessing an atrial septal defect repair surgery. The pediatric cardiologist walked me through each step of the surgery and explained the mechanism of the device that would be inserted into the patient’s heart. Being able to visually see a hole in someone’s heart be filled and seeing the functional changes of the heart immediately was remarkable!

I have a 5-month old kitten!
