The University of Texas at Austin Medical Reserve Corps (UTMRC) is a collaboration of students, faculty, staff, and community members whose aim is to increase health and preparedness of UT Austin communities by training and maintaining a group of ready volunteers to respond to public health disasters and crises. Read below to learn how you have become a UTMRC member and what opportunities and resources are available to current UTMRC members.
New UTMRC Members
Anyone who is interested in furthering the mission & vision of UTMRC can become a member. We encourage UT students, UT faculty, UT staff, community members, medical and healthcare professionals, and other volunteers to become a member of UTMRC.
Current UTMRC Members
If you are a current UTMRC member, then please join us in learning about the requirements to volunteer. You can also learn about the various trainings, certifications, networking opportunities, volunteer opportunities, and many opportunities that are available to our current UTMRC members.
UTMRC Interest Groups
If you are an active UTMRC member, you can join the UTMRC Interest Groups. In order to become an active member or attain active status, you must be UTMRC members who are registered with us through the Texas Disaster Volunteer Registry (TDVR).
