The UT Mid-IR Photonics group is excited to welcome Félix A. Estévez H. to the University of Texas Austin and our research group specifically!! Felix received his Bachelor’s degree from Penn State University in Engineering Science and will be working on extending our infrared detector efforts to the far-infrared!!

Guided Mode Resonance MWIR Detector published in APL!
Our paper entitled “All-epitaxial guided-mode resonance mid-wave infrared detectors” is published in Applied Physics Letters! Lead author Abhilasha Kamboj demonstrates >50% external quantum efficiency in a mid-wave infrared detector only 250nm thick, operating at 200K!!
