Attention juniors and seniors! The ODPS is hosting information sessions for two prestigious national scholarships for graduate or professional studies.

Truman Scholarship Information Session: September 23, 2021, at 5pm CT

The Harry S. Truman Scholarship provides up to $30,000 in funding towards a public service-related graduate or professional degree to students who aspire to work in a public service career. Public service, defined by the foundation, includes employment in government at any level, uniformed services, public-interest organizations, nongovernmental research and/or educational organizations, public and private schools, and public service-oriented nonprofit organizations. Eligible students must be a junior, graduating in 2022-23, OR, a senior, graduating early (3 years or less) in 2021-22. Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans Virtual Information Session for University of Texas Students: October 7, 2021 at 11:30 am CT

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans is a $90,000 fellowship for immigrants and children of immigrants who are pursuing any type of fulltime professional or graduate school in the United States. Each year, the program awards 30 fellowships to individuals who show promise of future significant contribution.
