Registration Tools Core Curriculum Requirement Options Courses that satisfy the University Core Curriculum are approved on an annual basis; a new list of options is produced in March for the upcoming fall semester through the following summer. 2026-2027 Academic Year 2025-2026 Academic Year 2024-2025 Academic Year Fine Arts Requirement Options Unlike the University Core, courses that satisfy other requirements (Foreign Language, Music Ensembles, etc.) are tied to a student’s Undergraduate Catalog. Most Fine Arts students follow the catalog of their first semester of enrollment at UT Austin; each catalog begins in the fall semester of its first listed year and ends in the summer semester of its final listed year. For example, a student who started at UT Austin in the fall of 2022 or fall of 2023 would typically follow the 2022-2024 catalog unless they opt in to a more recent catalog. Unsure?
