About the Projects

The LLILAS Initiative on Participatory Mapping seeks to further work in three areas: research, education and outreach, and participatory mapping practice. Participants work in urban, rural and forest areas, throughout the Caribbean, Central America and South America, pursuing collaborative, creative dialogue, engaged scholarship, and fieldwork dedicated to furthering the struggle for access, justice, and co-management of communal resources.
