Janine Barchas is the Louann and Larry Temple Centennial Professor of English Literature at The University of Texas at Austin. She is the author of The Lost Books of Jane Austen, which led to an exhibition entitled “Austen in Austin” at the Ransom Center in the fall of 2019.
