Starting in January 2022, the UT Drupal Kit release schedule will be updated to better align with the Drupal Core release schedule.

Until now, releases for the UT Drupal Kit (UTDK) have been scheduled for the second Tuesday of the month (alternating odd months for Drupal 9, even months for Drupal 7). The window for Drupal core security releases is the third Wednesday of the month, and we want to avoid situations where a core security release could come on the week immediately after a UT Drupal Kit release.
Accordingly, the UTDK release window will be moved to the fourth Tuesday of the month starting in January 2022. This will still leave the possibility of a Drupal core bugfix release coming the week after a UTDK release, but those are generally much less time-sensitive than a security release.
