Romanian Journal of European Affairs 

The first Romanian academic publication focused on European topics

The Romanian Journal of European Affairs (RJEA), edited by the European Institute of Romania, welcomes submissions for the next issue, due to be published in June 2022. 

This year, the editorial policy includes analyses on topics such as: climate change, energy, digital transformation, economic and monetary affairs, single market, social policies. 

Contributions regarding the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic for different European policies are expected. 

The journal is indexed in various international scientific databases, such as: Clarivate Analytics – Emerging Sources Citation Index, ProQuest, SCOPUS, EBSCO, HeinOnline, INFOBASE INDEX. The journal is also indexed in Central and Eastern European Online Library, ERIH PLUS and IndexCopernicus Journal Master List. 

Guidelines for authors:

The articles (written in English) should have between 4,000 and 8,000 words, accompanied by a 200-word abstract, a very brief autobiographical note, keywords, and JEL classification (if the case). Book reviews should be no longer than 2, 000 words.

The articles will be presented in Microsoft Office Word format, Times New Roman, 12, 1.5 lines spacing and will be sent to rjea[at]ier.gov.ro, with the subject “Article submission – June 2022 issue”. Oxford citation system is recommended.

The contributions can be submitted by 15 April 2022. 

The article’s submission implies a commitment from the author to comply with the copyright policy of the Romanian Journal of European Affairs. The Copyright Agreement is available online.

Selection of articles:

The Editors reserve the right to make a shortlist of articles, by taking into account the quality of the received papers, the general writing terms, the relevance of the topic and the editorial policy of the issues in preparation. The shortlisted articles face a thorough selection procedure before being accepted or rejected.

The articles under analysis are made anonymous and handed over to two reviewers who will provide reports for the Editors. 

The reviewers are highly experienced in the specific topics under analysis and in the overall editorial activity.

Within the evaluation procedure, there are several factors, both quantitative and qualitative that are taken into consideration. The main selection criteria are: scientific excellence, originality, novelty and relevance for the journal’s audience.

The Editors reserve the right to ask the authors for changes, both in form and content, whenever necessary.
