Acad. Job: Russian Lecturer (Texas A&M)

The Department of International Studies, College of Liberal Arts at Texas A&M

University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer (Non-Tenure) position in Russian

language with a 9-month academic appointment beginning fall semester 2021.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach 4 undergraduate courses per semester

(fall 2021/spring 2022) in Russian language (first and/or second year level), and to

contribute to program building in Russian studies. Ability to teach a second European

language (French, German, Latin or Classical Greek) at the introductory level is

desirable.

The Department of International Studies houses degrees/programs in modern

languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Russian) and

Classics, in addition to the interdisciplinary degree in International Studies. The

department is at the forefront of university efforts to educate global citizens and future

leaders, preparing our students for a globally interconnected future. Faculty boast a

broad expertise across a variety of fields within the broader humanistic tradition. We

teach and produce scholarship on global cultural issues within the context of linguistic,
