The School of History, Archaeology and Religion at Cardiff University wishes to appoint a fixed-term full-time lecturer in Russian History. The post is for 12 months, to cover a period of externally funded leave. You will possess a record or potential for excellence in research in modern Russian History and evidence of high-quality teaching at undergraduate level.
The School is a dynamic and friendly department with an international reputation in research and teaching. Within the School, you will contribute to the continued development of the School’s teaching in European History, including teaching a second-year undergraduate module on Soviet History. You will contribute to the first-year module Making of the Modern World. You will also be expected to contribute to History’s jointly-taught core modules at undergraduate level. In addition to teaching, you will act as a personal tutor to students, engage in scholarly research and publication, and participate in administration at a departmental and / or School leve,l as required. You will be provided with office space as well as access to funding for conferences / research travel.
Salary: £34,304 – £40,927 per annum (Grade 6).
This post is full-time, and fixed term for 12 months.
