The conference will focus on the three interconnected topics, which consist of (though are not limited to) the following themes:
EU’s enlargement strategy – Opportunities and Challenges
- EU integration and enlargement: EU’s structural diplomacy
- EU-Russia contested space and securitization of EU’s foreign policy
- EU enlargement and Europeanization: conditionality vs. socialization
Eastern Partnership – Current Developments and Future Expectations
- Europeanization and a new way of doing politics in the EaP countries
- Impact of Europeanization on national public spheres
- National identities in the context of Europeanization: ambiguity and perceived threats
EU-Georgia Relations
- EU-Georgia Association Agreement: Lessons learned and opportunities created
- Visa Liberalization and its impact on education, culture, and economy
- Performing Europeanization in Georgia at the political and popular levels
The conference is organized within the framework of “Raising Awareness on Georgia’s Europeanization in Academia” [RAGEA] with the co-funding of Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Activities.
