The Slavic Reference Service invites you to join us for our upcoming online workshop “From Dissertation to Book Manuscript,” taking place Friday, October 27, 2023, 11:30 am – 1 pm CST. This workshop is geared towards graduate students, recent graduates, early-career scholars, and those new to the publishing process. Topics covered will include book proposals, working with publishers, timelines, tips for reworking the dissertation, and more.
We will have two speakers, with time for Q+A:
Faith Wilson Stein is the Senior Acquisitions Editor for scholarly titles at Northwestern University Press. She was formerly the associate editor at Stanford University Press, and managing editor of Slavic Review.
Colleen Lucey is Associate Professor of Russian and Slavic Studies at the University of Arizona. She is the author of Love for Sale: Representing Prostitution in Imperial Russia (2021), which won the AATSEEL Best First Book Award.
