Dear AAH Community:
The Department of Art and Art History at The University of Texas at Austin condemns the violent and racist attacks in Atlanta, and all attacks against Asians in recent months. The racially motivated killings of Asian women in Atlanta have horrified the country and exacerbated fear in the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. We recognize that this horrific act is rooted in a long and violent history of racism and xenophobia in this country that impacts all people of color. We are committed to supporting our AAPI community of students, staff, and faculty at the Department of Art and Art History.
Please use and share the following list of resources with your students and colleagues on how to support the AAPI community in a time of hate and violence:

If you or one of your students or peers experiences discrimination or harassment, you should report the incident as soon as possible.
With Care and Concern,
The Department of Art and Art History Anti-Racism Taskforce
