Study Abroad: Helix Fellowship (Yiddishkayt)

Deadline for Applications: April 9, 2018

Now in its seventh year, the Helix Fellowship immerses students in the history of European Jewish life and culture — filled with joy, coexistence, and creative potential. The program welcomes university undergraduate and graduate students to participate in a year-long fellowship that spans two summers. Applications are accepted until Monday, April 9.

This August selected fellows will coalesce as a group in Southern California for a week-long culture colloquium curated by leading scholars, activists, and artists of all types, exploring minority and borderland cultures through the unique lens of Yiddish. The 2018 summer program begins a transformative journey exploring culture in many languages, traditions, and spaces that culminates the following year in a summer of cultural immersion in Central and Eastern Europe.
