The Harvard Ukrainian Summer Institute (HUSI) is now accepting applications for its 2018 program.

HUSI offers seven weeks of intensive accredited university instruction in Ukrainian studies. Students earn academic credit while studying at an Ivy League university and exploring the dynamic city that surrounds it. The program is designed for graduate students and undergraduates who are concentrating in Ukrainian studies or who wish to broaden their educational experience. Limited financial assistance is available.
Application Deadlines:
• March 12 for all applicants seeking financial aid
• April 16 for applicants who need an F-1 student visa (but not requesting financial aid)
• All others: See the Harvard Summer School website for deadlines and course registration
HUSI students typically take eight credits: either the language course or the two subject matter courses; however, students can choose to combine a HUSI course with a course in another field available through Harvard Summer School. (Note: Only students taking eight credits with HUSI are eligible for HUSI financial support.)
2018 Courses:
• Revolutionary Ukraine: Avant-garde Literature and Film from 1917 to the Euromaidan of 2014 with George Grabowicz (4 credits)
• Laboratory of Modernity: Society, Culture and Politics in Ukraine, 1800-Present with Serhiy Bilenky (4 credits)
• Ukrainian for Reading Knowledge with Volodymyr Dibrova (8 credits)
