Lang. Training: Summer Workshop (Indiana U)

The 2019 Indiana University Summer Language Workshop is accepting applications for intensive summer courses in: Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian (BCS), Estonian, German, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Russian, and Ukrainian, as well as 17 other languages.

* Courses run June 3 to July 26
* Russian Levels 1 and 2 run May 28 to July 26
* 2 semesters of instruction in 2 months (6-10 credits)
* Immersion options available for Russian
* Extensive cultural programming
* In-state tuition for all participants

Apply before February 1, 2019 for priority admission and funding.

Title VIII Domestic Fellowships of up to $6,500 and Title VIII Overseas Fellowships of up to $8,000 are available to support U.S. graduate students, area specialists, and scholars studying the languages and cultures of Eastern Europe and the countries of the former Soviet Union. Apply by February 1, 2019.

Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellowships are available to support of graduate and undergraduate students studying less commonly taught languages and cultures, in particular those considered to be of critical interest to the United States. Apply by February 3, 2019.
