Visiting Assistant Professor of Russian Studies

The Department of Modern Languages & Literatures at the College of William and Mary invites applications for a one semester (Fall 2019), non-tenure-track Visiting faculty position that will begin August 10, 2019.  They seek an individual with expertise in Russian Cultural Studies. The successful applicant will be expected to be an effective teacher and will have a 3 course teaching load.

Required: M.A. with A.B.D. status is required, in Russian Studies.  Native or near-native proficiency in Russian and English is required. The candidate must have demonstrated excellence in undergraduate Language, Literature and Culture teaching, including Russian language courses at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum. The candidate must also have experience in teaching Russian literature and culture courses in English.

Preferred: Area of specialization is open; however, preferred qualification is 19th century literature.
