Acad. Job: Lecturer in Polish (Brown U)

The Slavic Studies Department at Brown University invites applications for a lecturer in the Polish language to teach in the academic year of 2021/22 with the possibility of renewal; the duty time will depend on enrollment. Teaching responsibilities include all levels of Polish, organizing and participating in extracurricular activities for the Polish-language students. The teaching load is five courses per two semesters (3/2).
Qualifications: native or near-native proficiency in Polish and English; Ph.D. or MA degree or equivalent in Slavic Studies, preferably in Polish Linguistics/Philology; evidence of successful teaching Polish at the university level in the US. Desirable qualifications include a proven ability to teach an additional Slavic language or any other language spoken in East-Central Europe and a course dedicated to Polish culture.
