Acad. Job: Postdoctoral Research Associate (UConn)

The University of Connecticut (UConn) is pleased to invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the Department of Educational Psychology in the Neag School of Education.

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will work with the Co-Director of the National Technical Assistance Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (Center on PBIS) and the UConn PBIS team to support measurement, evaluation, and research activities (e.g., instrument development and validation, evaluation of technical assistance and PBIS implementation). In this role, the postdoctoral research associate will also have access to large datasets and may be able to propose and lead their own research aligned with grant priorities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctorate in special education, school psychology, psychology, research measurement/evaluation, or related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis.
  • Experience evaluating technical assistance or intervention activities (i.e., fidelity and outcomes of training, coaching, and technical assistance).
  • Experience conducting and disseminating empirical research.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate on a research team to achieve desired outcomes in a timely manner.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience implementing or evaluating interventions within a multi-tiered system of support framework.
  • Experience in instrument design and validation.
  • Experience coordinating large-scale (i.e. district-wide, state-wide) evaluation activities.
  • Evidence of developing and disseminating products (webinars, guides, briefs) that translate research into practice and/or policy guidance.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) with a variety of audiences, including the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback to enhance performance. 

APPOINTMENT TERMS

This is a full-time, 12-month, position with an anticipated start date to be negotiated. Relocation is not immediately necessary, as work can be completed remotely. However remote work agreements are subject to review and renewal on a regular basis. Salary is competitive based on qualifications and experience.
