The Faculty of Letters of the University of Geneva is opening an application for a post of

PROFESSOR-E

ordinary or associate in Russian literature (19th-21st centuries)

CHARGE: This is a fully loaded position including teaching at the bachelor’s and master’s levels as well as the supervision of university master’s work and doctoral theses.

The candidate must have a perfect command of French and Russian, oral and written.

The candidate will have to provide in-depth teaching on Russian literature of the 19th-21st centuries, as well as propaedeutic lessons on the history of Russian literature since its origin.

Knowledge of a second Slavic language and a good knowledge of the history of ideas and cultural aspects of Central and Eastern Europe would be an asset.

The candidate will be called upon to develop research at national and international level in his field of specialization (Russian literature of the 19th-21st centuries) and to obtain external funding.

The candidate will also have to assume management and organizational tasks at the level of the Department of Mediterranean, Slavic and Oriental Studies, as well as of the Faculty.

TITLE AND EXPERIENCES REQUIRED:

Doctorate of Letters or title deemed equivalent.

Experience in leading research and teaching.

Publications in international journals.
