Dobro Slovo is excited to announce our call for new inductees and applications for new chapters. Dobro Slovo is the National Slavic Honors Society, founded in 1963 on the campus of UC Berkeley. It is committed to recognizing academic excellence and commitment to the field of Slavic Studies in the U.S.
After one transition year, we now have the infrastructure in place to mail out certificates, pins, and, for the first time, honors cords, to all new inductees in time for April or May induction ceremonies. We are ready to welcome new chapter applications as well as another round of inductees from existing chapters.
All members must be inducted by a campus chapter—so if you do not yet have a chapter, please apply to open one first. There is no fee for new chapters. The membership due for each new inductee is $25.

If you are the chapter secretary of an existing chapter, please fill out this form with information about each of your inductees. Inductees should not register themselves. This form should be filled out by the chapter secretary.
Please use this link to pay the membership dues. In the “comments” box that appears while completing payment, please write the full names of all inductees to whom the payment applies.
The deadline for info and payment for all new inductees is February 15.
