The Russian and Eurasian Studies Program at Colgate University invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in Russian, Eastern European, and Eurasian Studies beginning fall semester 2022. Ph.D. required in Slavic Languages and Literatures with experience teaching Russian at the college level, or a Ph.D. in a related field with a certificate in Russian-language teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Russian language classes and an introductory survey class on Russia within the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. The successful candidate will also be asked to teach an existing humanities elective in the Russian and Eurasian Studies Program, or to propose and teach a new humanities or interdisciplinary course related to their research area.
