We are pleased to announce the Stream Topics for AATSEEL 2027, which will be held virtually on February 18-21, 2027. These streams promote greater cohesion among conference panels and foster a broader dialogue throughout the conference. The result can be a series of mini-conferences within the framework of our larger conference.

Stream descriptions are listed on this page. All stream papers must be submitted through the main CfP Submission Portal. Reminder that there is only one proposal submission deadline this year. Submissions to all Streams and all proposals are due August 1, 2026.

Teaching Less Commonly Taught Slavic and East European Languages Poster Panel
The AATSEEL Conference also includes a poster panel for “Teaching the Less Commonly Taught Slavic and East European Languages.” This panel highlights materials developed to teach any of the languages of Central and Eastern Europe or Eurasia other than Russian. Individual posters identify a specific pedagogical problem within the field of LCTL instruction and shed light on methodological solutions, providing specific models for others to apply in their own courses. The goal of this panel is to provide a forum for colleagues from various languages to address issues common to all and to promote further contact and collaboration.
