Deadline: September 15, 2026
The editors of the Journal of Russian American Studies (JRAS) are calling for proposals for a special issue on the 70th Anniversary of the 1957 Sputnik launch. The theme of this issue will revolve around how this event in 1957, and the space race in general (before and after 1957), played a role in the larger theme of Russian-American relations.
Please submit a 100-word proposal and a c.v. by September 15, 2026 for consideration. Notification of inclusion in the volume will be made by November 1, 2026. The final manuscript will be due on April 1, 2027. The special issue will be published in July 2027.
