Job: YES Abroad Local Coordinator (Sarajevo)

POSITION SUMMARY

The YES Abroad Local Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the Kennedy-Lugar YES Abroad program in Sarajevo. The position reports to the Country Representative in Sarajevo and works in conjunction with Washington-based program managers and colleagues in Central and Southeast Europe.  This is a part-time position: 20hrs/week with a flexible schedule, some evenings and weekends required. The position starts in August 2023 and is a limited, one-year term with a possibility of extension.

BASEES Postgraduate Workshop: Using Archives and Libraries to Research Histories of Eastern Europe and Eurasia

How do we understand the nineteenth century from different disciplinary perspectives? Where in the world do we continue to see its reach? What are its legacies today?

For its inaugural conference, INCSA invites proposals for presentations, papers, panels, and performances that explore the nineteenth century in its past, present, and future manifestations.

Program Officer, Regional Flagship Languages Initiative Programs 2023 (American Councils)

FLSA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY:

Based in Washington DC, the Program Officer will be responsible for the administration of Regional Flagship Language Initiative Program (s) and for arranging assessments of participants on the Flagship programs.  

The Program Officer will work closely with a dedicated team of Flagship staff members and report to a Program Manager. The PO  will communicate frequently with students. The PO will collaborate routinely with overseas staff and partners. Currently,  American Councils runs RFLI programs in Senegal (French), Tanzania (Swahili), Azerbaijan (Turkish), India (Hindi, Urdu) and Indonesia and anticipates starting programs in Thailand and Vietnam  in fall 2023.  Proficiency in Thai, Vietnamese or Turkish would be very helpful in this position.
