To make a request for a print ad, please email the Communications Coordinator (Jenny at email@example.com) and Marketing Designer (Nathan at firstname.lastname@example.org) with the following information:
- Ad due date and “live date” (the date at which the ad will be publicly visible)
- All necessary art specs (ad dimensions, color, bleed/no bleed, etc.)
- Ad context (where and why will this ad be placed?)
- All desired ad text (may need to be edited by Comm Team, so please specify which text is absolutely necessary)
To ensure delivery by the due date, please request ads at least 4 weeks in advance; if the timeline is shorter than that, it’s up to the discretion of the Marketing Designer (largely dependent upon the current workload).
The Communications team must adhere to UT Austin style guidelines, and so may not be able to make all requested changes to print ads. Proofing will be limited to two rounds, so please be sure to collect comments from all necessary parties when the first proof is available.
As Nathan Russell is now on staff, he has offered his photography skills free of additional charge; please respect this wonderful resource by requesting any ad-specific photos no less than 8 weeks prior to the ad due date.
The BSOM Communications budget cannot accommodate any departmental requests to cover the monetary cost of print ads.
