This is a new master’s programme. The first intake will be in 2017.
This programme offers the opportunity to study the history of the cultural and intellectual interaction between the East and Western Europe from the Middle Ages to the present day. This process will be examined in all its forms – from the history of cultural relations and reception of traditions to the vulgarization of knowledge and the generation of conflicts.
The programme is a wide-ranging inter-faculty and inter-university project that is unique in its combination of two components. Alongside common courses, future Master’s students will be able to create their own educational programme based on individual interests and objectives.
The International Double Degree Master Programm at the Higher School of Economics, Moscow is a 24-month programme with joint teaching in Cologne, Warsaw, and Moscow (18 months in Moscow + 6 months in Cologne or in Warsaw).
