Dr . Frantsuz will explore how various types of inequities shape health in Russia and post-Soviet countries. The talk will emphasize the methodology and challenges in researching this problem and will investigate the specifics of how inequalities impact major health differentials in various cultures and states depending on their institutional arrangements. Dr. Frantsuz received his Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Minnesota. His areas of research interest include social and political demography, sociology of health, and social inequality and health.
