Job Summary:
Oversees day-to-day operations of the Language Workshop in compliance with IU and federal policies and procedures, with an emphasis on student-facing activities, logistics and financial oversight, and management of externally funded projects as assigned.

As Program Coordinator, bears primary responsibility for student management, course scheduling, scholarship and fellowship administration. Assists students during admission, testing, and enrollment. Provides advising for students, parents, and participants in Workshop programs. Schedules on-campus and online courses. Manages admissions in accordance with admission decisions of Director and admissions committees; monitors student status, provides course overrides and addresses student issues; provides logistical support for scholarship and fellowship selection; manages scholarship and fellowship establishment and disbursement; manages student billing; manages student housing; maintains unit calendars. Translating Russian text into English and proofreading text translated by others is the main focus of this summer internship in Voronezh. Translation projects could be as complex as fairy tales or as simple as bank statements. Whether you aspire to be a translator or just want to perfect your language and regional knowledge, this internship lets you experience Russia as if you had moved to work there.
Timing: One to three months. Can be combined with other Crossroads Eurasia internships (e.g. teaching or camp)
Russian proficiency: At least 4 semesters of Russian or equivalent (or heritage speaker)
Past experience: None required.

The coordinator is responsible for creation and coordination of all CES outreach activities.
