Mail

Mailboxes

Staff, faculty, and TA/AI/AA mailboxes are located inside of the Director’s Suite, MRH 3.832. Incoming packages that are too large to fit inside of the mailboxes are stored either around the staff mailbox table or in the cabinets underneath the faculty and TA/AI/AA mailboxes.

Outgoing Mail

All outgoing mail needs a stamp or a mail acceptance form attached to the envelope. Mail acceptance forms should only be attached to University-business related mail.

Mail Acceptance Form

You must include your name, UT EID, department (BSOM), phone, mail code (E3100), account number, and the quantity/type of outgoing mail on the form. If you do not have an account number, please contact Ruth Sogas-Paramio (rsogasparamio@austin.utexas.edu).

Outgoing mail and packages should be left in one of four boxes located on the far-left wall of the Director’s Suite: U.S. mail, campus mail, personal mail, or UPS/FedEx outgoing packages. Mail is picked up between 1 and 3pm.

If you have a large mailing than cannot fit into the outgoing mailbox, please call UT Mail Services at 471-3670 to arrange for a pick-up. Please be ready to provide your name, building name (MRH), mail code (E3100), and a room number for the pickup.

FedEx & UPS

You can send a University-business related package via the direct-bill accounts we have with FedEx and UPS. Contact Ruth Sogas-Paramio (rsogasparamio@austin.utexas.edu) and she will provide you with the appropriate FedEx/UPS label.

Keep in mind that you are responsible for obtaining your own packaging and scheduling a pickup. DO NOT just leave your package in the Director’s Suite without first contacting FedEx/UPS; couriers are not in our building on a regular basis and only come by for scheduled pickups or deliveries. Packages scheduled for pickup can be left in the bin located on the far-left wall of the Director’s Suite, under a sign labeled “UPS/FedEx Outgoing packages.”

For more information on mail, please refer to Mail Services or contact Heather Lewis (heather.lewis@austin.utexas.edu).
